CENTRAL NEW YORK -- The community raised $10,000 to help Baby Easton.
Last week, more than 300 people attended a fundraiser at the Palace Theater in Syracuse to benefit Baby Easton Friedel.
Easton, who was born in August, underwent treatment in Ohio for a painful, incurable skin condition. Epidermolysis bullosa, or EB, causes the skin to blister or be missing from some areas entirely.
The baby spent the first few months of his life in hospitals. He is now home in Weedsport, but will require extensive and expensive medical care and supplies for the rest of his life. The money raised will help offset some of those expenses.
