NEWTOWN, Conn. -- President Obama will be visiting the devastated Newtown community Sunday evening. The president will privately meet with victim's families and first responders before attending an interfaith vigil at the Newtown High School.

We're also getting more details about the apparent shooter and his mother. Connecticut State Police have officially identified the gunman as Adam Lanza, 20. An autopsy was performed on Lanza and his mother, Nancy Lanza, who was one of the 27 victims. She sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

Investigators say Lanza shot himself in the head before being taken into custody.

Police are still working to determine the gunman's motive, but they now have a clearer picture of just how much ammo Lanza packed to carry out his rampage.

Earlier Sunday, worshippers were forced to evacuate a church near the town after someone reportedly phoned in a bomb threat. Officers at the scene gave the all clear after about an hour of searching, but the church will remain on lock down for the rest of the day.
