DEERFIELD, N.Y. -- An Oneida County teen was seriously hurt while running away from a house party.

Sheriff's deputies discovered the party while responding to a car crash on Bell Hill Road in Deerfield just after 11 p.m. Friday. When they went to break up the party, deputies say several people ran into the woods.

They say Michael Pinto, 17, of Poland, fell down a 30 foot cliff into a river bed. Emergency crews were able to get Pinto out of the ravine. He was taken to a local hospital and transferred to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, where he's listed in fair condition.
