Man charged with DWI in New Year's incident
OSWEGO, N.Y. -- An Oswego man was arrested for DWI after allegedly hitting a patrol car and leading officers on a chase on New Year's Day.
Police say they tried to stop Ronald Bisnett, 42, in Oswego around 1:10 a.m. Tuesday for driving through several stop signs. They say he continued driving until his car hit a snow bank in Scriba, then backed into a patrol car before driving away again.
Police say they found Bisnett walking on the side of the road a short time later. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital for his injuries from the crash.
Bisnett was charged with unlawful fleeing police officers, DWI, criminal mischief, reckless driving and several other vehicle and traffic violations.
