Starting Friday at 8 p.m., all northbound lanes of traffic will be closed at Adams Street. Drivers will have to exit there and re-enter the highway at the Almond Street on-ramp. Transportation officials say they are also closing one lane of that on-ramp during construction.

The work is needed to repair loose concrete and pot-holes. It's scheduled to begin Friday at 8 p.m. and run until 6 a.m. Monday. DOT officials say that schedule could change depending on weather conditions.
