SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Children of Central New York's Make-A-Wish Foundation got to meet a special visitor Friday. Disney on Ice's Mickey Mouse stopped by Syracuse's War Memorial to take pictures before the show.
Thee-year old Nina has been battling eye cancer for a year and a half. She had her wish granted in Disney World in late October. Her mother says that during the struggler their family went through, it's comforting to know that someone cares.
"That fact that there's an organization that want to make these children happy, and their main intent is to grant a wish for them, unbelievable," said Nina's mother, Ciara Parrish.
Disney on Ice characters will be performing in Syracuse through Sunday.
This weekend's show times include:
11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. - Jan. 5
1 and 4:30 p.m. - Jan. 6
