Syracuse Police investigating two early morning incidents

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police are investigating two separate incidents from early Sunday morning.

In the first, they say a 21-year-old man was stabbed at the Upstate Convenience Market on South Avenue around 12:15 a.m. Police say the victim was confronted by two men and one stabbed him. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

Then, about half an hour later, officers responded to an armed robbery at a local pizza shop. Investigators say three men stole cash from the register at Sabastino’s Pizza and Deli on Ballantyne Road. Two of the men had handguns and all three were wearing masks and dark hooded sweatshirts. No one was hurt during the robbery.

The suspects were last seen running towards the Ballantyne Garden apartment complex.

If you have any information on either the stabbing or the robbery, police are asking you to give them a call at (315) 442-5222.
