ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- People were pedaling with a purpose in Fayetteville Sunday. More than 100 riders hopped onto stationary bikes at the Community Center Group Fitness Studio.

Everyone was raising money and awareness to fight bone and breast cancer.

Some people got more of a workout than others.

"We have one rider that's decided to ride for six hours, but most people are either doing it for an hour, two hours or three hours, depending upon what their team decided to do," said organizer Ann Marie Giannino-Otis.

More than $3,000 was raised by the event.

Organizers are already planning a different fundraiser for February.
