DERUTER, N.Y. -- One man is killed in a snowmobile crash in Madison County.

State Police say 27-year-old Andrew Guelfi of Syracuse was riding a snowmobile in the town of DeRuyter Sunday when he entered a wooded area and hit a tree. Guelfi was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
