Fulton man sentenced for possessing child pornography

FULTON, N.Y. -- A Fulton man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after admitting to receiving and distributing child pornography over the internet.

Leonard Allen, 46, was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court. He pleaded guilty in January 2012.

Allen was arrested after he sent child pornography to an undercover police officer in New Hampshire.

After searching Allen's home, authorities found thousands pornographic images and videos involving children.

Once released from prison, Allen will have to register as a sex offender and will be put on supervision for life.
