Driver turns himself in after hit and run

OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Baldwinsville man was arrested in a Granby hit and run. Officials say Kurt McArdell, 21, was driving on State Route 48 on Tuesday when he hit Sistine Callen, 59, who was riding her bike.

Callen suffered multiple fractures in the accident and was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where she is listed in fair condition.

McArdell turned himself in to State Police in Fulton on Wednesday afternoon. He is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to safely pass a bicyclist and will appear in Town of Granby Court later this month.
