SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Police say Christian Brothers Academy baseball coach Thomas Dotterer is improving after being shot in the eye during a robbery at his Syracuse liquor store.
Dotterer has been upgraded to serious but stable condition after being in critical for several days. It happened last Wednesday night on North Salina Street.
Police arrested Shireff Williams III, 19, in connection with the shooting and charged him with robbery and assault. They're still looking for a second suspect.
