ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Liverpool man was seriously hurt after he was hit by a pickup truck and dragged several yards across a parking lot.

Authorities say Courtney Gehrig, 19, of Oswego, was looking for a parking spot at North Medical Center Monday morning when she hit Lyle Tryon, 56, of Liverpool. They say Gehrig was unaware that she hit anything, driving 30 feet with the man stuck under the vehicle. It was another motorist that alerted her of what was happening.

Tryon was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

So far, no charges or tickets have been filed.
