A mix of precipitation overnight has created some slick conditions in many areas across the region. That's why you'll want to give yourself a few extra minutes as you make your way out the door this morning. YNN's Brad Vivacqua has more on the conditions outside.

CENTRAL NEW YORK -- Right now, with a warm up in the temperature, we're experiencing some rain and quite a bit of slush out on the roads. Most of your main highways and busy side streets have been well treated, but you may find a slick spot here and there.

DPW crews across the region have been out all night treating the roads, but you should particularly be careful when you leave your home this morning. You may find some heavy ice buildup on your sidewalks and driveways and you're advised to take it easy when you first walk outdoors to your car.

It's a good morning to leave the house a little early, warm up your car to get the ice off, and again just go very slow.

The good news is our meteorologists say we can expect to see more in the way of just rain throughout the morning.
