CAYUGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- After a full week under a boil water advisory, residents in the Village of Cayuga and Town of Aurelius can now go back to using their water as usual.

The advisory was lifted Tuesday afternoon for Water District 3.

High winds caused dirt and silt to get into the water treatment plant's intake valve, causing problems processing the water.
