ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The woman who drove into the side of an Amtrak train in Oneida County earlier this week has been ticketed.

Sheriff's deputies say Shelby Schumacher, 29, of Middleville hit the train on Blackmans Corners Road in Verona Sunday afternoon. They say the crossing arms were down, the red lights were flashing and the bell alarm was sounding to warn drivers of the oncoming train.

Officials say Schumacher was at fault for the accident and was ticketed for driving through the crossing gates.

No one was injured in the accident.
