BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- An organization built around assisting the Broome County community is celebrating a milestone. ACHIEVE kicked off a $3.8 million renovation project today in Binghamton at the Cutler Pond Road site. The organization serves individuals and families with developmental disabilities, providing a number of opportunities to enhance their quality of life.

Organizers say that the project's completion is a significant landmark. Lisa Lee, Board of Directors President said, "We stand here today, in a place that has been serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for 60 years, helping people to enjoy a full measure of the life they've been given."

The Cutler Pond Road site houses the organization's "Growing Spaces, Improving Lives" Building Rehabilitation Project. Officials say they've raised about 76 percent of the $3.8 million needed to complete the renovation project.
