Pedestrian arrested on weapons charges
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Snowy sidewalks lead to a weapon arrest in Syracuse.
Officers stopped Kevin Binet, 20, around 12:40 a.m. Saturday on the 900 block of South Geddes Street. They say he was stopped for walking in the street instead of using the sidewalk.
According to police, Binet had a loaded 22 caliber semi-automatic handgun with a defaced serial number.
Binet faces criminal weapon possession charges, along with a couple of traffic infractions.
