UTICA, N.Y. -- A decision is coming soon on whether or not an accused Bosnian war criminal will be sent back to his home country to face charges.
Sulejman Mujagic was in court Wednesday for an extradition hearing. The judge wound up reserving his decision on the case.
Mujagic has been accused of murdering one Bosnian soldier and torturing another during an interrogation in 1995. He allegedly commanded a unit of the Army of the Autonomous Province of Western Bosnia.
Mujagic was arrested in Utica on November 28th in a joint ICE and Homeland Security investigation. He will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals until a decision is made.
