ROME, N.Y. -- Most robberies you hear about seem to take place at banks or small convenience stores, but a Tops supermarket was the most recent site of criminal activity.
The store in Rome was robbed Sunday night shortly before 8 p.m.
Rome Police say this man approached a cashier and demanded money. He didn't show a weapon, but said that he had a gun.
Police say he ran from the store with cash in hand, heading east bound toward South James Street. He's described as 5-foot 6, in his late 20s to early 30s, and had a red colored goatee.
