NEW YORK CITY -- Custo Barcelona has brought the dramatic patchwork and materials to the runway for both men and women. His show was all about the fabrics.

“We have here, handmade materials, traditional ones and very technological ones,” said designer Custo Barcelona.

By using diverse materials to make his fashion, Custo may be making something entirely new.

“We're trying to achieve a very contemporary language with this collection as well colorful and graphical and with a fusion of materials that is our DNA,” Custo said.

From the beautiful mosaics from Custo Barcelona, which we saw from this little hidden place, the AmEx Skybox, which is perched above two runways, so Custo was on the left and Diane von Furstenberg's prints, well, we saw those looking to the right.

Diane has brought another season of her unique prints to the runway.

“This season is called glamrock, which clearly says glamour and rock and roll. It was a little bit inspired by David Bowie when he was young, by me when I was young. The whole point is that it's not clothes that are for party. It's take life as a party,” said von Furstenberg.

Diane brings much more to her customers than stylish prints with a rock and roll twist.

“I sell confidence because if you're confident then you're beautiful.”

And I for one have never met a woman wearing DVF that doesn't have that confidence.
