STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- State Troopers say two people are passing along phony bills.

Investigators say a man and a woman tried to use the fake cash to make a purchase at the Wal-Mart in Painted Post Sunday. It was a counterfeit 20 dollar bill.
