WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Time Warner Cable, the parent company of YNN, is recognized on the floor of the U.S. House by Representative Tom Reed for the company's Connect a Million Minds initiative.

The initiative is designed to inspire children to pursue science, technology, engineering and math opportunities outside the classroom.

Time Warner Cable has given grants to non-profit groups that introduce students to those opportunities. Employees also volunteer at local Connect a Million Minds events, science fairs and robotics competitions across the country.

Reed says the program helps America's youth compete with their peers on the global level.

Time Warner Cable is the parent company of YNN and we are committed to the Connect a Million Minds program, inspiring youth to develop science, technology, engineering and math skills. For more information on the initiative, go to connectamillionminds.com.
