MANLIUS, N.Y. -- An investigation into the discrepancy of funds in the Manlius Town Court has been handed over to the District Attorney's Office.
Back in October, the CPA began gathering information to do an audit on the town. That audit was finished in January, and there appeared to be a discrepancy in the funds from the court clerk's office.
That information was taken to the town justices, who found it to be a large enough discrepancy to turn over to the District Attorney's office.
The court clerk is no longer employed, but it is unclear if she resigned or was fired.
No word yet on where the investigation now stands.
