SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Georgetown rivalry always brings big crowds to the Dome and as the numbers showed Saturday was no exception.
It was orange and blue as far as the eye could see as fans headed to the dome before tip-off.
As the Orange head into a new era in the Atlantic Coast Conference, some fans say they're excited to see what new rivalries will come about. But others say this traditional match up with the Hoyas is one of the things they'll miss most.
"It's sad because it's always been good. All the Big East games have been amazing, and we used to come up all the time when I was back home. It was a lot of fun, but now it's going to be different, playing North Carolina and Duke. It's not going to be the same ever again," said Brandon Beirne, a Syracuse University fan.
Even with Saturday's loss, Syracuse University still leads the all-time series against Georgetown, 48 to 40.
