SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Playing for the first time in nearly a year due to a broken foot, Rob Pannell racked up four goals and five assists to lead the No. 7 Cornell men's lacrosse team to a 19-11 victory over Hobart in the longest-running rivalry in college lacrosse Sunday at the Carrier Dome.
Steve Mock added five goals and Connor Buczek had four goals and an assist for the Big Red (1-0) who next play their home-opener Tuesday against Binghamton starting at 4 p.m.
Cornell has now won eight-straight meetings with Hobart in a rivalry that dates back to 1896.
