EASTWOOD, N.Y. -- The best in model trains are showcased, hoping to attract new enthusiasts. The Syracuse Model Railroaders Club debuted some of their latest designs at the American Legion in Eastwood.

Organizers also put together a large Lego train exhibits. It was fun for families, introducing the young ones to a new hobby with the hopes of getting them interested for years to come.

"The whole hobby of model railroading is very wide. How far do you want to get in, how fancy, how simple? The Lego has its part of doing the idea in a different way," said Ken Cameron, Syracuse Model Railroaders Club.

Many vendors also took part in the show, selling trains, cars, and parts, to people looking for pieces for their own collections.
