New Hartford man faces child pornography charges
NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. -- An Oneida County man already facing sexual assault charges in New Jersey is now facing child pornography charges in New Hartford.
William Potoczny, 59, was charged locally after police say they found child pornography on his home computer.
Potoczny was first arrested in New Jersey after officials say he was chatting online with someone he thought was the parent of a six-year-old girl. Investigators say he told that individual he wanted to have sex with the child and film it. That investigation led to the seizure of his home computer in New Hartford.
He was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford Court and released after posting $10,000 bond. He's due back in New Hartford Court on March 7th.
