Four arrested for stealing merchandise from Best Buy warehouse
TIOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Four people were arrested for stealing nearly $120,000 worth of Best Buy merchandise in Tioga County.
State Police received reports of a suspicious van in the Best Buy warehouse parking lot in the Town of Nichols late Sunday night. When they arrived, they located the van on Barry Road, right behind the warehouse, with more than $118,000 of electronics, including laptops and camcorders, that had been stolen from trailers parked in the lot.
Troopers say Lance DeGraffenreid, 24, Devonte Henry, 19, Roland Jackson, 35, and Ricky Pearson, 24, were arrested as a result. They add that two of the suspects traveled from Illinois with the intent to steal the electronics.
All four have been charged with second degree grand larceny.
