MONROE COUNTY, Pa. -- An Ithaca man has died following a van crash in Pennsylvania, and the driver is now being charged.

The van, owned by Syracuse-based Universal Bus Travel Incorporated, was heading to Binghamton from New York City when it crashed about 25 miles south east of Scranton on Tuesday night.

State Police say the driver of the bus, Jiayuan Liang, 22, hit a median, then partially overturned after hitting a tree.

There were 15 passengers on the bus. Several of them were taken to area hospitals for their injuries. Jianuw Zhang, 30, died following the crash.

Liang now faces six charges, including involuntary manslaughter and homicide by vehicle.
