Man, teen arrested after Syracuse home invasion
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A man and young teen were arrested after a home invasion on Syracuse's Southside.
Police say a woman was in her home on the 1100 block of Cannon Street just before 10 a.m. Friday when two suspects kicked in her door. When the woman yelled that she was calling police, the suspects ran off towards Primrose Avenue.
Just minutes later, police had taken two people into custody. They say Deshond Jackson, 25, and a 13-year-old boy have been charged with attempted burglary and criminal mischief.
The teenager was turned over to a parent, while Jackson was sent to the Justice Center.
Police do not believe any items were taken from the home and no one was injured.
