MADRID, N.Y. -- A man is charged with drunk driving after crashing his snowmobile in St. Lawrence County.

Sheriff's deputies said Dale Champion, 52, was crossing a field in the Town of Madrid Saturday night when he hit debris and was thrown off his snowmobile.

Champion suffered minor injuries.

He is charged with snowmobiling while intoxicated. Officials said more charges are pending in the case.
