DEPOSIT, N.Y. -- State troopers released more information about a deadly crash that happened in Delaware County around 7 o'clock Saturday night on State Route 8, just north of Deposit.

Investigators say 79-year-old Barbara Seymour was walking near the road, when she was hit by a car.

Troopers say she suffered massive head trauma.

The driver was James Gruscavage, 56, from the Village of Deposit. He has been charged with vehicular manslaughter in the second degree. He has been arraigned and sent to Delaware County Jail.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
