CAYUGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A warning for people in Aurelius and the Village of Cayuga. A water main broke in water district three.

Crews said the pipe that goes to the water treatment plant has now been repaired; but, there is still a boil water advisory in effect.

Officials also want people to conserve their water so there's no extra strain on the system.

Aurelius leaders blame aging pipes. The town is working on a project that would help prevent problems like this, but completion is still two years away.
