JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A man walks away with only minor injuries after his SUV hits a tree and rolls upside down.

The crash happened around 9 o'clock Sunday morning on County Route 66 near the Town of Hounsfield Highway barn in Jefferson County.

Sheriff's deputies said the driver told them he swerved to avoid an oncoming car in his lane.

He was taken to a local hospital.

The sheriff's department is investigating the crash.
