SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- On Monday, Westhill High School students will return to class for the first time since one of their classmates was killed in a crash early Saturday morning.

Anna Pullano, 18, drove her SUV into the path of a CENTRO bus along Comstack Avenue in Syracuse.

Sunday Westhill's boys’ basketball team was competing in a sectional championship game at the Carrier Dome.

Students held signs honoring and remembering Anna and a moment of silence was held before the game.

The players had her in mind as well.

"The game was for her. We all wore ribbons somewhere. I put them on my shoes. A lot of people wore them on their warm-ups. It was a sad day for all of Westhill," said Westhill basketball player, Jordan Roland.

Westhill beat Skaneateles and won the championship 63 to 51. It was their fourth sectional title in the last five years.
