OSWEGO, N.Y. -- An Oswego City School District bus was hit by a pickup truck Monday morning. Six elementary school students and the bus driver were taken to the Oswego Hospital Emergency Room for evaluation.

The accident happened at the intersection of West Fifth Street and Utica Street in the city. None of the injuries were serious.

District officials say the pickup truck's driver was ticketed for speeding and failing to stop for a red light.

27 students were on the bus when it was hit. Most continued on to school.
