WEBSTER, N.Y. -- The two firefighters injured in the Christmas Eve shooting in Webster are scheduled to speak publicly Wednesday for the first time since the ambush.

Firefighters Joe Hofstetter and Ted Scardino will speak with media Wednesday afternoon. The two were hurt when a gunman opened fire as crews responded to a house fire on Lake Road.

Hofstetter was shot in the pelvis. Scardino was shot in the shoulder and the knee. Two other firefighters, Mike Chiapperini and Tomasz Kackowza, were killed in the ambush.
