Pharmacist admits to stealing from Medicaid
ELMIRA, N.Y. -- A Chemung County pharmacist and business owner has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $93,000 from state Medicaid.
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Shari DeGraw, who owns a Medicine Shoppe in Elmira, pleaded guilty to petit larceny. DeGraw admitted to submitting fake bills from January 2005 to December 2007 for pharmaceutical drugs, treatments and supplies that she never purchased.
DeGraw will be sentenced to give years of probation and will have to pay more than $93,000 in restitution.
