CORTLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Sheriff Deputies responded to a call of a bomb threat made against the Cortlandville Super Walmart.

It comes after media outlets have reported threats against Wal-mart stores in other areas including Western Michigan.

Cortland County Deputies say there was a bomb threat just before 3 in the afternoon and officials stayed on the scene for several hours. The store and the parking lot were evacuated.

K-9 teams from the Broome County Sheriff's Office detected something, and investigators called in the Onondaga County Bomb Squad as a precaution.

Roads in the area were also shut down for a period of time. Deputies say nothing was located on the property. The store reopened for business at about 10 p.m.
