SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- It was another sold-out crowd in the Syracuse Carrier Dome this weekend. This time it wasn't to see the SU basketball team; it was to watch monster trucks do impressive tricks in the dirt.
The 2013 Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam attracted its largest crowd ever in the Northeast. More than 36,000 fans showed up for the event Saturday night. The record-setting show featured fan favorite trucks like Grave Digger driven by Dennis Anderson. It gives people a taste of some big-time horsepower and exciting action.
"The draw is the drivers, and the trucks. You only get to see them once a year and you can watch them on TV; but being here, and watching them live is the best thing you could possibly do," said Sean Scalzo, Monster Jam fan.
The show also featured Freestyle Motocross and Quad Wars, where two groups of four quads race on the dirt track at the same time.
