SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syacuse Police are investigating a homicide. It happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday on East Fayette Street in front of the Parkside Commons apartment complex.

Police say a 20-year-old male was found shot on the sidewalk. He was taken to Upstate University Hopsital where he later died.

A witness reported seeing a male running away from the scene toward a wooded area behind the apartment complex.

The search continues for a suspect.
