SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police have identified the young man who died after being shot late Sunday night.

Authorities said they found Darrell Mobley Jr., 20, lying on the sidewalk of East Fayette Street in front of the Parkside Commons apartment complex. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he later died.

A witness reports seeing another man running away from the scene toward a wooded area behind the apartment complex, but police are still searching for a suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (315) 442-5222. All calls will be kept confidential.
