Man arrested for stabbing dogs
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police arrested a man after he allegedly stabbed two of his dogs, killing one of them.
Police responded to the 200 block of Ash Street a little after midnight Wednesday and found Francis Mason, 53, covered in blood. They determined that Mason was uninjured after he admitted to stabbing his two female pit bull mixes after they attacked another dog earlier that day.
Officers say one of the dogs died in the home. The other dog is being treated for serious injuries, but is now in stable condition.
Mason has been charged with two counts of felony aggravated animal cruelty. He is being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
