Two men arrested following Cortlandville burglary
CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. – Two men were arrested after officials say they broke into a home in Cortlandville.
The Sheriff's Department says they responded to Lime Hollow Road just before 8 p.m. Tuesday for a reported burglary. There, they found Michael Betters, 29, and Brian Valentino, 40, running away from the scene. Both were taken into custody and charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and conspiracy.
Betters is being held on $50,000 cash bail and Valentino is in Cortland County Jail without bail.
The investigation is continuing and Sheriff's deputies say more charges are pending.
