SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Le Moyne College held a special Mass on campus Friday to celebrate Pope Francis. Students, faculty and community members gathered at the Panasci Family Chapel for the service.

The campus minister says it's a special celebration because the election of the new pope was so soon and because Pope Francis started out as a Jesuit priest. Francis is the first Jesuit pope.
