ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- News of the attack in Clay has sent shock waves throughout the community.
Two people we spoke with say they usually feel safe in the area and are just trying to make sense of this all.
"A little horrified at it because I go to that mall all the time because I live in this area. To think that you can walk out and be car jacked is frightening," Liverpool resident Angela Robinson said.
"I do feel like it's more of a quiet neighborhood out this way. I mean, anywhere, you're not safe anywhere. Anything can happen in any spot," said East Syracuse resident Nicole Artuso.
