CONKLIN, N.Y. -- A fire heavily damaged a home in Conklin Sunday evening.

Firefighters arrived at the house on Montrose Drive a little after 5 p.m.

Several Broome County fire departments were called in to help put out the hot spots.

Fire officials said the house is a total loss.

One firefighter sustained an eye injury. It was not serious, but he went to the hospital.
Investigators have not yet determined what sparked the flames.
