SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse City School Board approved its budget for the next school year.
The nearly $368 million spending plan includes a net loss of more than 96 jobs.
Losing teachers and other employees is nothing new for the Syracuse school district. In the past four years, 950 positions have been cut.
The school board will take a look at the budget again after state aid numbers from Albany are finalized.
