SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Syracuse University men’s basketball team was getting ready for its game Thursday night against the Montana Grizzlies. It may be on the opposite coast, but a few SU fans checked out practice in San Jose.
The fans watched as the fourth seeded Orange went through their final preparations before tipping off its tourney run.
SU rarely makes appearances on the West Coast, but these Orange fans had a sour taste in their mouth after news of the NCAA investigation broke Wednesday evening.
"I think it’s really, really annoying that an investigation that has been going on for well over a year, whether the anonymous chose to put this out the day before we're playing in the NCAA tournament. It's not the first time that's happened and it’s very upsetting,” Neil Gold said.
"I don't know anything about the investigation, but it looks like a little more mud is being thrown. Not sure how to react to that," Scott Baumgartner said.
